Gribbles Road

Located on the Western Slopes of the Southern Flinders Ranges and first established in 1997, Flinders Run is nestled between the upper reaches of Spencer Gulf and the windy swept foothills of the Southern Flinders Ranges.
Rich sandy loam soils are the prevalent soil type throughout the property evidence of an ancient flood plain from the Baroota reservoir which flowed through the Baroota Creek system, nutrient rich soils were washed from the hills and onto the flood plain.

It was for this very reason Emanuel selected this particular block, its rich and fertile soils were highly suitable for a vineyard development, combined with the fact that the property is situated directly over the Baroota Aquifer, an Ancient Spring fed Aquifer of high Quality water, which is used to Irrigate both the Vineyards and Olive Grove.

Plantings began in 1997 and continued right through to 2004. Planted to the classic varieties of Shiraz and Chardonnay with new plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small planting of Grenache.
